Lenovo Go_Qi Powerbank – 2019
In today’s fast-paced world, working on the go requires a reliable source of power that’s just as mobile. This wireless charger, with its elongated form, is engineered to support multiple devices simultaneously, packing a generous battery that ensures they stay charged when needed most. These practical needs guided the initial design direction and established the core framework of the product.
Unlike the more complex designs of the Travel Mouse and In-Ear Headphones, the Qi Powerbank offered a simpler canvas to apply our signature design language. However, this simplicity masks a deeper functionality that was carefully crafted. One key challenge with mobile devices is cable management—a common source of frustration for users.
A significant portion of our design process focused on creating a streamlined solution for this issue, ensuring that cables remain organized and accessible. The result is a cleverly integrated cable that fits into a recessed space, completing the sleek form and staying neatly out of the way until it’s needed.
