Lenovo Go_ In-Ear Headphones – 2019
Designing earphones with a sleek, minimalist aesthetic for users who value originality required a thoughtful approach. Starting with initial sketches, I quickly moved to prototype development to refine key aesthetic elements, optimizing both form and function. These prototypes were 3D scanned and further refined in CAD, resulting in a product that combines style with practicality.

Lenovo’s signature red accent was carefully integrated into the minimalist design, ensuring it remained a prominent feature. This color not only preserves the product’s unique identity but also adds a distinctive touch that enhances both visibility and appeal. Additionally, through sketching various packaging (knotting) techniques, the design was further refined, balancing aesthetics with functionality.

Full-size control tabs were crafted from urethane foam, not only in 3D CAD but also through physical prototyping, to ensure the design was practical and user-friendly. This hands-on approach helped optimize functionality while maintaining the product’s design identity, balancing both practicality and aesthetics.
A cohesive design language was maintained to ensure the earphone series aligned with the design gestures of the Travel office accessory line. This consistency creates a harmonious look whether the earphones are used individually or as part of the overall accessory collection.
